In this episode of Sweet Liberation Podcast, we are interviewing Michelle Hurn RD LD. Michelle A Hurn RD LD, is a registered dietitian and author of The Dietitian's Dilemma. Michelle opens up about her journey, how at the age of 12 she was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa, and that led her to become an avid athlete and dietitian. 

In this episode, Michelle joins us to raise awareness, of how unhealthy dietary habits are damaging the immune system and people are becoming sicker at younger ages.  

We gave Michelle the title of ‘rule breaker’ because she was not happy with the stereotype diet plans, suggested by hospitals. Nabila and Michelle dive deep into discussions about the ideal diet, from keto to carnivore. 

Michelle emphasized the importance of a balanced diet. She suggested making a personalized diet plan based on a person’s metabolic health and activity level.

The conversation shifts to the broader issue of misinformation in healthcare, particularly regarding diet and nutrition. Michelle and the hosts discuss the pervasive availability of sugary foods and how society tends to downplay their harmful long-term effects.
